The Dregs are the foot soldiers of the Crustaceans. Each one comes in pairs. Nukus' Dregs consisted of a Stego Dreg, a Ptera Dreg, and a Spider Dreg. Vilor's Dregs consisted of a Fish Dreg, a Jellyfish Dreg, and a Squid Dreg.

Unlike foot soldiers in most series, these are not an identical band of soldiers, but the monster designs Lester Fortunes didn't consider his best work when Nukus sprung him from prison. They're the Dregs because they're from the bottom of the barrel. As such, each Dreg is a unique monster, though there are a few design elements common to each squad of them. Nukus brought them to life alongside Horribelle and Vilor.

• Dregs usually means the worthless part or parts of something.

Trivia

• The costume for the Stego Dreg was later recycled in the Power Rangers in Space episode Flashes of Darkonda & the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy episode Heir to the Throne as a bartender at the Onyx Tavern.
  • Also in Flashes of Darkonda, the body of the Ptera Dreg was combined with the head of Dreadfeather to form a random monster on Onyx.
• The head of a Spider Dreg was used in the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy episode Heir to the Throne as a hooded robed patron at the Onyx Tavern. It's head was also used for the episode To the Tenth Power for one of the generic aliens that was selling the five Data Cards with the Psycho Rangers inside to Deviot and tries to double cross him, but was destroyed.
• The swords that the Dregs used were recolored versions of the swords used by the Jamars/Scabs.
