The Rescue Police Series (レスキューポリスシリーズ Resukyū Porisu Shirīzu?) is the term used to collectively refer to the first three Metal Hero Series of the nineties. The three seasons were named Tokkei Winspector (特警ウインスペクター Tokkei Uinsupekutā?, 1990-91), Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain (特救指令ソルブレイン Tokkyū Shirei Soruburein?, 1991-92) and Tokusou Exceedraft (特捜エクシードラフト Tokusō Ekushīdorafuto?, 1992-93).
Unlike its predecessors, the shows focused on a weekly disaster or crime that the heroes must try to stop instead of an overarching story of a standard tokusatsu series with recurring villains. The shows also put greater focus on rescuing civilians from danger as part of the superheroics of the main cast.
